Well, how I figure is, the time, money, and effort spent racking & refilling inks, purchasing printers, and everything else that ties into printing a number of volumes or editions of a high quality zine can all be solved in one trip to an independently owned copy shop. There’s a nice self-serve spot in our hometown that’s grown pretty comfortable with letting us run files off their computers, experiment on different paperstocks & assembly etc. They know us by name and & they like our work, I guess. It’s pretty easy, just look around for the best prices, and highest convenience around you. Just avoid those corporate places that make you pay upfront. Blugh.
